Suddenly it hit me.... I had been burgled ...all my gorgeous jewellery, gone.

That's how this all began really. When it came to replacing my beautiful diamonds and emeralds, I couldn't bring myself to do it. What if they were stolen again?

I eventually replaced a few pieces that I wore daily, but I decided to find some really good costume jewellery that I could wear in among my real stuff and no-one would be any the wiser...except me.

I wanted bracelets and necklaces with the same catches, clasps and safety clips that you would find on real jewellery...that make a reassuring click when you closed them. All the pieces needed to have some weight to them, a solid feel, with stones that caught the light and made me smile.

After a lot of travelling, I bought some beautiful pieces and began to mix them with my real jewellery. Friends couldn't believe it when I told them which was real and which was fake. They wanted some too!

Friends began holding ladies' and gentlemen's jewellery parties for me, which enabled me to test the market and make sure I was buying the right designs.

Without boring you with all the details..... word spread, and so it grew to what it is today!
